Introductions and Epilogues
by Dave Terpstra and Chip Anderson with Jared Mackey

Introductions and epilogues. They often precede and conclude great works of literature, setting up and rounding out the details of the story between them. In the storyline of TNLC, we stand at a transition. We welcome our new Teaching Core Pastor Chip Anderson while saying goodbye to our friend and current teacher, Dave Terpstra. This series aims to capture their opening and parting words as they begin and conclude their time in this community.

Welcome Chip Anderson and Family

In August of last year, we began a process of hiring our new Teaching Core Pastor. It was a time of evaluating our needs and confirming our values. We wanted someone who resonated with TNLC’s value on shared leadership, longing to serve inside of a team. We wanted someone who embodied TNLC’s values – a person who lived a communal, transformational, missional, and holistic life of faith, not just someone who could teach the ideas. Roughly 150 people applied for this position, and through a process of sensing God’s leading, we’ve found the person we believed he was bringing to our community – Chip Anderson. For more information go to our New Pastor page.

Terpstra Family Update

Now, after nearly a decade of serving and leading around TNL God has again used this community to change the direction we are headed... For the rest of Dave's letter click here.
