Forty hours of silence.  Forty hours of stillness.  Forty hours to listen to God.

Forty Hours is a weekend spiritual retreat that provides an opportunity to unplug from life in Denver Metro and reconnect with God.  It is a time to slow down and be still.  But it is also a time to be together.

Most of us associate silence with solitude.  And typically they go together.  But like a monastic community, at the retreat we will do many activities together; we will just do them in silence.  Meals will be eaten together in the dining hall.  Worship services will be led in the chapel.  We will stay together in cabins.  We will be a community, but we will also be silent.

The schedule for the weekend will provide opportunities for you to read, pray, journal, meet one-on-one with a spiritual director, and catch up on sleep.  Walk through the grounds.  Hike through the forest.  Sit by a window.  Stand all alone.

Experience a weekend like you never have before.  Experience community without all the banter.  Experience worship without making a sound.  Experience creation in the stillness of winter.  Experience God in the silence.

Cost: $100
Limited space.  $40 deposit due at registration.  Registration begins Tuesday, February 5 and ends Tuesday, February 26.

Details:
- Forty hour silent retreat
- Check-in begins Friday at 6:00 pm – retreat/silence starts at 7:00 pm
- Friday dinner is not provided – there are several restaurants in Allenspark or Estes Park you can stop at before the weekend begins.
- Check-out is Sunday at 11 a.m.
- Sunday lunch is not provided.
- All meals are family style in  the dining hall.
- Speaking is not permitted at the retreat.
- Worship services will be led throughout the weekend.
- Cell phones usage is not allowed. (a camp number will be provided for emergencies)
- Because of the nature of the weekend, children are not allowed at this retreat.
