Vision:

What does it look like to follow God given your unique season of life?

During the next year within the TNL community, our vision is to help people better understand and own their spiritual life: where they’ve come from, where they are, and where they may be going next. Every week at TNL we remind one another that “you are welcome here just as you are.” But our vision is “together being changed by God to change the world.”

But God doesn’t intend personal growth to be a private affair. At TNL we desire to foster a communal and transformational experience of faith. To have a growing and vibrant faith, we must pursue interdependence with one another. We must listen to and learn from others while extending similar grace and truth to them. We value the place of a community in our own life change.

The Life Season Project is a step in that direction. We want to create an opportunity within the TNL community for people of similar seasons in life to gather together to learn from each other while building relationships. We want you to better understand yourself so you can better foster your spiritual growth. We want you to connect with other people who can help you see your own past, present, and future more clearly.

How does being single and career-minded in your mid 30’s affect the way you relate to God? How can you be a husband, a father, an employee, and a follower of God while thriving and not just surviving? What kind of challenges are you facing as a recent college graduate who is figuring out life on your own for the first time?

The Life Season Project will gather people of similar life seasons together for an evening of conversation and community to explore questions just like these. Each gathering may be anywhere from 5-20 people, lasting 2-3 hours. Before a group meets, there will be reflection questions sent out to participants that will allow everyone to do some pre-processing. The hope is that an evening of shared conversation could lead to further relational connections beyond the Project.

Connecting with a Life Season Gathering:

You might consider joining a group of people in the season of life that you are in, or in the season of life you are headed toward, or both if schedule permits. The idea is to develop community and shared learning, so come prepared to listen, to talk, and to learn together.

Below are a number of Life Season gatherings that will be meeting across the metro area. Meeting dates, times, and places for each group will be set, so chose a group based on your interest and your calendar. Please RSVP to attend one of the discussions by clicking on the group name and filling out the information that the email asks for. A group facilitator will follow up with you soon after that. An initial set of reflection questions for each group is available as well. For questions about the Life Season Project in general, contact Community Pastor Brian Gray at (303) 422-3777 ext. 327.

The Critical Journey

A fantastic description of six common phases of people’s Christian journey and how they act and think while in these stages. A great way to examine your spiritual past, present, and possible future.
