| Making Peace |
| December 1st through 29th, 2009 |
| by Chip Anderson, Brian Gray and Ben Peters |
Peace is a word thrown around casually and without much understanding. It is simultaneously a cause, the absence of conflict, a desired state of mind, and the hopeful resting place of those deceased. But the advent (arrival) of Jesus offers us peace in place of enmity – peace with God, peace with each other, and peace within our self. Therefore as Christ followers, what does it look like to follow Jesus by making peace in our daily rhythms, lives, and world? |

| The Table |
| Novemer 17 and 24, 2009 |
| by Chip Anderson and Jared Mackey |
Around tables we share our meals; some are simple foods, some are elaborate feasts. The table is where we shape our families, contnect with our friends, and tell the stories of our day. On more than one
occasion in the Scriptures, God invites us to His table. He welcomes us, not with austerity and restraint, but with extravagance and grace. It's unexpected, undeserved, and under the most unlikely circumstances. In this two week Thanksgiving series, we will listen as Jesus teaches at a dinner party, share our stories from tables around the world, and celebrate together at the table of God’s grace. |

| Hopes And Fears |
| September 8th through Novemer 10th, 2009 |
| by Chip Anderson, Brian Gray, Debra Anderson and Kelley Gray |
We have an idea of what our life could be. We even have glimpses of the deep beauty and goodness that our lives should be. But some days - and sometimes everyday - our fears darken our hopes and cage our dreams.
This fall we begin a series leading into TNL at Crooked Creek where we look towards what God’s plans and promises are for us as a community and as the individuals who follow Him. |

This 4-week Teaching Series is a call to be known as people of deep joy, goodness, mission, and hope. |

| Redemption, Hope & Healing |
| June 9th through July 28th, 2009 |
| by Chip Anderson, Brian Gray and Jared Mackey |
The Bible tells the stories of many broken, damaged and dented people. Some were murders, thieves and liars, while others were prostitutes,
cowards and hypocrites. The Bible recounts the stories of people whom, despite their failures and faults, God still loved and used in order to tell his story of grace, mercy and forgiveness. This summer we are going to retell these stories and seek to understand how God can bring redemption, hope, and healing into our own lives. |

| by Chip Anderson and Dave Terpstra with Jared Mackey |
Introductions and epilogues. They often precede and conclude great works of literature, setting up and rounding out the details of the story between them. In the storyline of TNLC, we stand at a transition. We welcome our new Teaching Core Pastor Chip Anderson while saying goodbye to our friend and current teacher, Dave Terpstra. This series aims to capture their opening and parting words as they begin and conclude their time in this community. |

We know that often we only hear what we want to hear when someone is talking, but what about Jesus? Do we already have an idea of what he might be saying to us before we begin to listen? Do we truly listen and hear what Jesus says? This seven-week Lenten series will engage moments in Scripture where Jesus speaks words we need to hear. |

| (re)discovering God through Scripture |
| January 6 through February 10, 2009 |
| by Dave Terpstra, Alyssa English and Brian Gray |
The Bible is the story of how God has revealed Himself to the world. And yet sometimes when we read the Scriptures, we don't hear anything new or fresh from the one who inspired them. Maybe we have Sunday School answers from the Scriptures if we grew up in the church, or maybe we have yet to learn what it looks like to meet God through his Word. In this series we will discover or rediscover together the God who reveals Himself in the Scripture, and find the One about whom the 66-books of Bible were written. |
